Thanks everyone who came out to our drinkup last evening. It was much fun, and so nice to meet the Web/blogging community that resides in Berlin (and those who came in from outside to play as well!)
There seems to be a really great buzz around Web 2.0 Expo Europe this year … and with just over a week left until showtime, it’s exciting to know that our community is looking forward to the sessions, events and programs we’ll be launching.
As conference organizers feedback is really important to us - it helps us understand what we did right, wrong and could do better - to make sure that every one of our guests walk away with a great experience.
So one thing I thought worth calling out was the fact that YES, we know the food was horrible last year - or in some opinions, non-existant. The venue was far, the coffee not great… OK. We know. We heard you (over and over and over again…)
We’ve got a sense of humor, we can take it
But know this:
We’ve upped the catering for this event - there WILL be food, there WILL be coffee..
<– and it won’t look like this
Another thing to note is that we’ve CHANGED VENUES!
In just over a week, Web 2.0 Expo Europe will take place at the Berliner Congress Center (BCC), a beautiful and cultural venue smack in the center of Berlin - Alexanderplatz 11.
(Keynote Room and Main Hall)
The BCC is a notable national monument building, built in 1964 and renovated in 2002.
