You’ve a few days left before we close our Early Price period (Deadline: September 22), and not much longer after until we start selling out of passes.

Haven’t had time yet to look through this year’s amazing content, speaker lineup and after hours parties? Fear not: We’ve put together a quick list of the top reasons to head to NYC for this year’s premier event for web professionals.

And the countdown begins with…

10. More Affordable to Attend: If you register with discount code BLG20, you’ll save 20% on all conference passes this year. Need to convince your boss to cover the cost? Let us help.

9. Keynotes with Industry Leaders: Come see Anil Dash (Activate), Ben Fried (Google), Joichi Ito (MIT Media Lab), Siobhan Quinn (foursquare), Eric Ries (Lessons Learned), Rachel Sterne (City of New York), Joanne Wilson (Gotham Gal), Stephen Wolfram (Wolfram Research) and many more.

8. Ignite NYC @ Web 2.0 Expo: If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? We’re going to find out at Ignite, a fun evening of “speed presentations” given by people like you. Sponsored by IBM.

7. Intense Educational Workshops: We’ve got a full plate of Workshops on Monday, October 10. Topics include effective Facebook marketing, designing for tablet experiences, rich mobile web applications, and the new startup stack.

6. The Onion Returns: Web 2.0 Expo New York favorite Baratunde Thurston and Matt Kirsch will lead a session on Twitter Marketing According to The Onion: How We Won The #Oscars, The #SuperBowl And Turned #HorseMasturbation Into A Trending Topic In Service Of Our TV Shows, and Baratunde will take the keynote stage once more on Thursday. See what he had to say in his keynote last year, “This is How You Mayor.”

5. First Looks at the Latest Technology: Our Expo Hall returns with a number of major technology innovators and disrupters. Check out our growing list of exhibiting companies.

4. Yep, We Got T-shirts: We won’t reveal the design (based on our theme, “Unlock the Digital Economy”) until we hand them out, but yes, they look awesome. And yes, we do have women’s sizes because, frankly, my fellow female conference organizers and I were tired of the standard bulky tech conference T-shirt. We’ll give these out on Tuesday during lunch in the Expo Hall.

3. Official Opening Party: Our big opening party, hosted by Visa, brings together the Web 2.0 Expo community for an evening of drinks, food and mingling with the builders of the next-generation web. Witty banter guaranteed.

2. The Return of Startup Showcase: After a smashing success last year, we’re bringing back Startup Showcase: one large demo room, 30 startups, 100s of Web 2.0 Expo attendees, and two judges. Come see which startups get picked as Audience Favorite and Judge’s Choice!

1. Extensive, In-Depth, Comprehensive, Leave-Nothing-Out Track Sessions:  We have a session for just about every Web 2.0 query you could possibly have: Design & UI, Development, Social Media, Marketing, Strategy & Business Models, Product Management, and Big Ideas. See the full schedule here.

Register now with discount code BLG20 to save 20% on all conference passes. We look forward to seeing you there!
