If you’re passionate about Federal Government transparency, this post is for you:

Beth Noveck, United States Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Open Government, directs the Obama administration’s Open Government Initiative. She’s also a keynote speaker for Web 2.0 Expo New York who has agreed to answer a crowdsourced question.

With the help of the Social Collective’s great tool, CrowdCampaign, Web 2.0 Expo is offering you the chance to Ask Beth Noveck a Question.

Submit your question for Noveck here, or if you don’t have a question, vote for the one you most want asked. On Wednesday, November 18 at 5 p.m. EST we will take the top 15 rated questions and present them to Noveck and O’Reilly. They will select the question to be answered in the keynote.

The author of the winning question will receive a signed copy of Noveck’s book, “Wiki Government.”

To participate, follow these directions:

  1. Sign in with your Twitter account (or create one if you don’t already have one).
  2. Read through the questions and vote on your favorites.
  3. Ask a question yourself!
  4. Promote your question on Twitter, Facebook, etc. and ask people to vote for it.

Be sure to check in on others’ questions to see what ideas they come up with. This is your chance to directly question a higher up in the Obama Administration.

We look forward to hearing your question on stage in New York next week!
